Roll Out the (Sweet) Welcome Wagon

When someone is getting married, guests will travel from near and far to celebrate! While you plan your wedding weekend, consider that the reception will be AMAZING, yet it will fly by. If you have several or many out of town guests, remember that the wedding weekend can be filled with activities and events. Not only will events entertain your guests, but it will also give you a chance to spend more time with family and friends that made the journey.

For some weddings, the rehearsal dinner is open to all guests or guests from out of town so they are not left to their own devices upon arrival. If a 200 person rehearsal dinner isn’t in the budget, or if you would prefer to keep it more intimate, another option is to host a drinks (who doesn’t like a glass of bubbles?) and dessert welcome party at a family member’s home or an event space. This gives you the opportunity to mingle with more guests and will relieve a bit of pressure on the day of the wedding to get around to every single person!

Now, how about a few tasty and creative dessert ideas?

{Daisy Cakes}
They have delish cupcakes, amazing tarts, brownies, macarons, meringues and more.

An inviting dessert display

{Big Bundts}
The bundts come in all different sizes and flavors and are absolutely adorable. I would recommend the brownie bundlette, but they have many flavors to choose from.

I like Big Bundts, and I cannot lie! (Sorry, couldn't help it...)

{Scratch}
This bakery is delightful! Autumn would be the perfect season for some small, bite-sized hand pies.

{Monuts}
Pretty much designer donuts in an array of flavors.

Red velvet. Donuts. Are you kidding me?!

Sweet dreams!
