Lindsay & Mac's Angus Barn Pavilion Wedding in Raleigh, North Carolina

Little did Lindsay know that her first date - a UNC soccer game and lunch at Spanky’s in Chapel Hill - would be the scene of her and Mac’s engagement! Family is everything to Lindsay. The day on which she started her own family by marrying Mac was, needless to say, a momentous occasion for them all! With a large guest count, Lindsay and her parents wanted to ensure the wedding feel equally welcoming, intimate, and celebratory.

Fairmont United Methodist Church in Raleigh was the perfect place for a warm and lovely wedding ceremony. The music was unforgettable. With performances by the Al Strong Trio (imagine Lindsay’s processional to Trumpet Voluntary by the trumpet master, himself!), the Raleigh Boychoir (a call to worship of Ave Maria), and an incredible solo by a cousin, the ceremony could not have felt more beautifully sacred.

Like many Raleigh natives, celebrating life’s milestones at Angus Barn was a natural fit for Lindsay and her family, especially Lindsay’s father, a friend of the owner. An Angus Barn Pavilion reception is grand. We were tasked with bringing its expansive space in, to create a warm and welcoming environment for the plated dinner. To soften the room and bring the feeling home, we used custom draping around the entire center space of the Pavilion, drawn open at the end of cocktail hour to welcome guests inside. The effect was incredible; "we’ve attended many Angus Barn weddings, and we’ve never seen it like this!" exclaimed multiple guests. Soft blue-gray cotton linens with perfectly tailored corners brought another level of femininity and sophistication. The final touch of abundant florals and candlelight made the room a stunning sight.

Celebration al fresco on the Angus Barn Pavilion patio in September is not to be missed. Guests began there with cocktail hour under market umbrellas and bistro lights, greeted by the savory scents of the grill. After dinner, dancing under the stars continued late into the night, with plenty of spaces to lounge and enjoy.
