Sydney & Buzz's At-Home Wedding in Wilson, North Carolina

Pins and needles doesn’t begin to describe it. Now that Sydney & Buzz’s beautiful at-home wedding has been featured in Carats & Cake, we are delighted to finally share their wedding with you!

After a beautifully reverent church ceremony, Sydney & Buzz celebrated their marriage in the backyard of her parent's home in Wilson, North Carolina. The memories tied with a childhood home are unbeatable and, we believe, make for the perfect place to begin a new family tree. Sydney and Buzz wanted their guests to celebrate in a garden wedding reception with a modern twist (and the party of a lifetime).

With a couple as sweet and fun as Sydney & Buzz, we were honored multiple times that night with the ultimate compliment from guests: “this is SO them!” To kick off the night, Sydney and Buzz were introduced into their reception with a fun and funky second line, a nod to her mother’s Louisiana roots. A bar in the round set on our custom designed grass and white checkerboard floor was the star of the tent. Geometric chandeliers with intertwining greenery elevated the black-tie reception, while a custom 16-foot cluster of blush and white paper chandeliers over the dance floor kept things lightly down-to-earth. Pub table seating, trees-in-the-tent (a Gather Together signature), and mixed bistro and lounge groupings made space where every guest could feel fancifully relaxed.
